Mr Achal Khanna

Achal Khanna is a Consultant General, Laparoscopic and Benign Upper GI Surgeon, based at the Milton Keynes University Hospital, The Saxon Clinic, Milton Keynes and Blakelands Hospital, Milton Keynes. Mr Khanna undertook his Higher Specialist Training in General and Oesophagogastric Surgery (Upper GI) at The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

He has also trained in Adelaide under the tutelage of Professor Rob Fitridge and Professor Guy Maddern, both leading world experts in their fields. Mr. Khanna’ s particular areas of interest and expertise are in the surgical management of all aspects of General Surgery with a particular focus on Gall Bladder surgery (Cholecystectomy), all aspects of hernia surgery, reflux disease and anti-reflux surgery.

He is an expert at Laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, open General Surgery and Upper GI endoscopy (gastroscopy).

  • Thank you for the splendid treatment I received when having a laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. The procedure was carried out by Consultant Surgeon, Mr Achal Khanna and his team. My treatment was entirely satisfactory and commendable. The procedure comprised a day in hospital and I was discharged after being seen by Mr Khanna who told me the surgery had been completed without any complications. I suffered no post operative pain other than the expected discomfort for a week or so afterwards.
